We offer multiple opportunities for adults to grow in their love of God and love for God’s people through fellowship and spiritual growth. Our adult ministry programs center on gathering as a community around the Word of God and living our lives modeled after Jesus Christ. We invite all adults to get connected and get involved. Whether through one of our Sunday school classes or our Bible studies there’s a place for you!
We offer Sunday school classes for adults at both of our locations. Each week curriculum is provided that directly correlates with the Sunday sermon thereby providing adults with a more in depth look of how the sermon and Bible lesson can apply to daily life. At South campus our classes meet before fellowship time and worship at 9:30 am. At our High Street campus our four classes meet at 10:15 am following worship.
Hang tight while we look up scheduled events...
Dear New McKendree Family,
Over the past several years, New McKendree has stepped up to lead our community by hosting Jackson’s “Feed My Starving Children Food Pack” event. Unfortunately, as you know, we were unable to hold the event in April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021 we have started to get back on track in our efforts to feed starving children around the world. In September of this year, New McKendree partnered with a few other Jackson churches and the Jackson Junior High School to pack over 100,000 meals. It was a true joy to see the eighth-grade students have the opportunity to pack all of the meals. The event took place at the Junior High. Our Jackson schools are committed to graduating “Givers” and not “Takers.” It was indeed an example of our community coming together to lift our students and allow them to see what it is like to serve others.
On April 8-9, 2022, we will host a Jackson Community Mobile Food Pack event at the Jackson Civic Center. We are currently reaching out to other churches in our area to see if they want to participate again. I look forward to our community gathering back together with the goal of serving/feeding others.
I am confident that God will use our hands and feet to make our community, nation, and the world a better place. I am proud to serve with a church family that will respond to God’s call.
