New McKendree will once again be leading our community by hosting Jackson’s “Feed My Starving Children Food Pack” event. The event will be held on March 20-21 at the Jackson Civic Center.

Three years ago, we eclipsed the one million meal mark in the history of our “Jackson” event. This year, we will be joining with other churches/organizations to pack over 200,000 meals. The Jackson Junior High 8th graders will also be joining us to pack meals during the school day on March 20th at the Civic Center.

We will be signing up volunteers and selling event T-shirts for $15 at all the services on Feb 28/Mar 1 and Mar7/8.  Please plan to come on those weekends and to sign up.  If you miss these weekend services and need to sign up, you can email Julie Rushing or CLICK HERE to sign up online starting March 11th.  

The shifts that will be available to work are as follows:

Friday, March 20th, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm

Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am

Saturday, March 21st, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm

Standing and sitting volunteer jobs are available.   Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift to check in.  For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 are not allowed in our packing area (sorry, no exceptions).  No jewelry is allowed, and everyone must wear closed-toed shoes and a hairnet.
